GET INVOLVED
Downright Perfect is a small volunteer run charity which relies entirely upon the fundraising efforts of its Trustees and Members along with the generosity of the local community.
We have achieved a huge amount since the charity was relaunched in 2022 and we have big plans as to how we can increase the support available to our members and help to ensure they are provided with opportunities to thrive.
There are lots of ways you can help Downright Perfect to help us continue to provide support to children with Down's Syndrome and their families in Dorset. Here are a few ideas but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in helping us in any way.
Sponsor an event or project
We run lots of projects and events throughout the year and are always looking for sponsors to help us with these specific costs.

Corporate & Community Grants
Support from local businesses and organisations is a vital source of fundraising for us.
Please get in touch if you are aware of any opportunities for corporate sponsorship, community grants or product donations which we may be eligible to receive.
Nominate Us
Lots of workplaces and schools select an annual charity to benefit from their fundraising activities. Let us know if you are aware of an organisation which runs a 'Charity of the Year' scheme and we can provide you with all the information you need to nominate us.

We are currently looking for people with who can help us with: Graphic design, photography, music therapy, party entertainment and early years education.

Organise a fundraising event
We are extremely grateful for all fundraising efforts which enable us to operate. If you are thinking of organising a fundraising event or would like ideas on how you can support us please get in touch. Here are a few ideas;

Hold a car boot sale in aid of Downright Perfect
Take on a challenge
Run, walk, cycle, swim, dance, jump ... there are hundreds of challenges you could take on and fundraise for Downright Perfect.
We will help you to set up a sponsorship page to collect donations and provide you with a sports t-shirt to wear on the day. Individuals who raise more than £150 will receive a 'Supporters Pack' to say thank you.

Buys a Sensory Toy bag for one of our Pre-Schoolers.

Pays for a new baby hospital pack given out at maternity units to parents who have received a diagnosis of Down's Syndrome.

Pays for a pre-schoolers group held in the sensory room at Trinity Methodist Church in Southbourne.
We run these groups every 2 weeks during term time.

Pays for a financial grant for one our children /young adults.
We offer each child in our group a grant of £300 per year to help with the costs of accessing therapies or resources.
